Description:    VPRO is part of the Dutch public broadcasting system. Besides VPRO and NOS (Netherlands Broadcasting Corporation), the public broadcasting system includes seven major and a number of minor broadcasters. The three public TV channels in the Netherlands each have their own individual signature. VPRO, together with NPS, VARA and RVU transmit on the third channel, Nederland 3. Nederland 3 is synonymous with in-depth, pioneering, culturally progressive and determinedly socially oriented programming. On radio, VPRO transmits on four of the five public channels.
